BASED IN PARIS
In 2017, I met the journalist Bénedicte Jourdier. We made our first report "Grand-Baie en sursis". In 2019, after the passage of a tsunami in Indonesia, I made a work on the humanitarian situation after the lifting of the emergency situation and the departure of NGOs. On my return I cover the Yellow Vests movement in the Parisian capital. At the same time, I start to follow the DXE-France association during their investigations in intensive livestock farms. In 2019. In July 2020, I joined the press agency "Zeppelin". In December 2020, at the end of the second confinement, I leave for Sudan with the journalist Eliott Brachet. We worked on the exile of Ethiopians who fled the war and massacres in the Tigray region to take refuge in camps in the Gedaref region of Sudan. This work was selected and screened at the international photojournalism festival "Visa pour l'image". In 2021 I will travel to the Amazon in Brazil to tell the story of the Huni Kuin indigenous people of Caucho.. January 2022 I moved to Beirut, Lebanon to work in the Middle-East. At the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, we go to cover with the journalist Ines Gil the war in Ukraine. From the West to Kyiv, we spend 6 weeks on the spot. After the departure of the troops in the region of Kyiv, we document the massacre of Bucha.
With my friend and colleague Louis Borel, we set off to meet the Tunisian people affected by phosphate mining in Gabes and Gafsa. In April 2023, President Kaïs Saïed announced his desire to impose himself once again, without taking into account the human and environmental debates that had been going on since the 1970s. That same year, we set off with our third companion, Serge Hastom, to explore the vertical void in the United States. From Texas to North Dakota, a year before the presidential elections, we travel 15,000 km across 8 states to meet this abandoned America. We end our journey on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the Lakota Sioux have found themselves marginalised and sidelined from the rest of the country.
5 years later, I went back to Palestine for 3 months, to the Masafer Yatta region. I'm going back to live with the families in the region to continue my work and show how the occupation and annexation of this part of the occupied West Bank is accelerating. Since 7 October 2023, violence has exploded in the region.
