LEBANON 2022

In January 2022 I decide to continue my work in the Middle East. I move to Beirut in Lebanon. With the journalist Ines Gil, whom I met in Palestine in 2019, we begin to work on the exile of Christians from the Middle East in Lebanon. Since the economic crisis that the country is suffering and the explosion of the port of Beirut in 2019, many christians young people and families have decided to leave Lebanon. In February, the Middle East suffered a cold wave rarely known. I leave to cover the living conditions of Syrian families living in refugee camps in the Beika Valley on the border with Syria. In May, I cover the elections for the Swiss newspaper Le Temps. With journalist Sophie Woeldgen, we follow the campaign of Jihad Pakradouni, independent candidate attached to the Lebanese Forces.
